Highest Rated Dentist in Orland Park
Had an amazing cleaning today by Megan. She was thorough and did a great job! Dr Dana as always was full of great energy and made coming to the dentist fun. Love this place and the friendly staff. They all make you feel at home. I especially love that they have all the latest and most updated equipment. Thanks CCFD
Best dental experience ever!! I was greeted immediately upon walking in and checked in. I was 15 min early so I expected to wait until it was my scheduled time. The waiting room is very modern and comfortable. Called back promptly at my scheduled appointment time. Greeted by the first assistant and felt very comfortable. Then Laith came in to take full X-rays and was very kind and professional. Met Dr Dana- who is just wonderful. Edith came in to go over my care plan and insurance coverage. Dr Dana and assistant Mel were able to start the work that day!! Mel was so kind and thorough when explaining aftercare. Overall I was nervous and embarrassed to go to the dentist but they made it such a great experience. Everyone in the office was just so nice and seemed to genuinely care about providing a quality experience. Edit to add how awesome Maddy was as well. I forgot to remember her name the first time :( she was so kind and helpful! And Trish who helped me with scheduling my next appointment. I could have probably stayed and chatted with her for days.
I suspect they are doing fraud here. In some part against the patients and in large part the insurance. I’m going to call to get them investigated at least audited by my insurance. Because on my account it shows they have been secretly collecting a credit. I had no idea they have been doing this and I encourage everyone to ask for an itemised summary of transactions between you and the dentist. At first I thought it was just a mistake or a glitch but it seems that this has been happening for some time with intent at the very least cover up the fact that as a client I was running up a saving account of credit with my dentist. I encourage everyone to look into it and see if they over charged you. And billed your insurance also. The theft is more than hundreds of dollars that I feel I have been defrauded out of or at the very least misrepresented. The problem is everyone is soooo absolutely nice so warm and inviting and caring but now I’m just seeing it as a grift. They are just smiling in your faces and stealing your money. And they are soo nice about it that you just refuse to suspect them but the facts are still facts. I got money taken from me that exceeded that amount billed and they have been collecting more and more every visit. It’s only been like 3 or 4 years like it’s only a couple visits a year so they would be able to just sneak in more money. They’ll say oh so in six months you have a visit we can just use your credit to pay for your next visit. But my insurance pays for everything and has been every single time why do they keep taking more money and holding it? This is extremely concerning and deeply suspicious. Especially the more they smile in your face about it. Like honestly they are soooo nice they are all so nice but now it’s just wolves in sheep’s clothing at this point. Anyway please if you already come here just do yourself a favor and ask them to print you out an up to date itemised summary of invoices if you never came here before then I would call the insurance company and directly get a quote on how much they pay out to the dentists so you don’t have to pay in advance for billing the insurance will end up paying. Mind you I didn’t just wake up and decide to leave a review this is after already talking to both the office managers and the accounts manager. Florantina and Mary respectively. And I was assured multiple times with multiple instances and they acknowledged that this is happening and the money shouldn’t have been paid to the office but over the last several weeks and couple months they have just bypassed all the agreements we made and have not made any progress in rectifying the situation. I genuinely think they are so nice and that’s what makes it worse it’s because it seems like they are just stringing me along with niceties but absolutely doing nothing about it. It feels like I’m getting scammed and I’m trying super hard to be nice about it and give them the benefit of the doubt. But the facts are still the facts. It’s been over 6 weeks since I was told that I would be sent a refund in the mail. Today I was told by Christy or crystal or whoever that I can come pick up my money on Monday from the office at 1pm. And along with that refund I am getting a dismissal letter and was told over the phone that I make the employees feel uncomfortable because I ask about the billing. And that I’m specifically treated this way and being asked to pay extra only because of my appearance and my communication with staff. Anyway people can pretend to be nice and still be bad people. I might not be so nice but at least I’m honest and not a thief.
I went to cove for $99 special….I paid $174. At the time I didn’t question it i was in pain and wanted to be seen. My fear was it was an abscess. I was grateful to know it wasn’t an infection but was still given an antibiotic. I refused to pay almost 4000 for one tooth. I completely understand I don’t have insurance hence why I went for the “special”. The dr was nice, she told me what I needed no other options I said I can’t afford that right now she said nice meeting you and try to get two dental insurance’s moving forward. She then went on to the next person. the Financial department was trying to accommodate payment stuff but with me just starting to work, I couldn’t be flexible with my budget…. Almost a week now with the same tooth ache I’ve been managing myself. So paid $174 to be told it wasn’t an infection and an antibiotic prescription.
I was initially hopeful about my experience at Cove Dental Office, but unfortunately, I encountered something that left me deeply concerned. During my visit, I was surprised to see a dog freely roaming the facility—including walking into the room where I was waiting for my consultation. The dentist, who I understand is also the owner, noticed the concern on my face and asked, “Are you okay with his dog?” While I appreciate being asked, I found it highly inappropriate for any animal to be moving through a clinical environment where patients receive dental care. This raised immediate questions about hygiene, sanitation, and professionalism. Dental offices are expected to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness to protect patients’ health. 1. Infection Control & Sanitation Dental offices must adhere to strict sterilization and cleanliness standards due to the risk of spreading infections. Animals can carry allergens, bacteria, or parasites that could compromise a sterile environment. Allowing a dog to wander through treatment areas undermines that expectation. Exceptions: The only commonly accepted scenario is if the dog is a certified service animal, and even then, it should not interfere with patient care or ENTER sterilized zones! I’m submitting this concern in the hope that it will prompt a serious review of protocols and ensure a safer, more sanitary environment moving forward.
